John R. Hinton
JOHN R. HINTON is the president of the Poetry Society of Indiana. A prolific writer, he posts several of his poems daily on social media sites, as well as presenting daily prompts that encourage creativity in others. He has traveled the state, hosting workshops, open mic events, and presentations. John sees the potential we all have to become writers, and as writers, to form connections that can cross all boundaries. Never static, he’s always seeking new avenues for poets and first-time creative writers to share words, ideas, and personal history, and to make lasting bonds in local communities, within our state, and across the globe. He is the author of two poetry collections: Blackbird Songs and Held.
